Listening to Bees

Our popular exhibit, Listening to Bees, in the Museum’s main gallery, opened on World Bee Day, May 20, 2021

The exhibit highlighted fascinating tidbits of bee mythology and lore, and the challenges facing wild and domestic bees locally and worldwide. It explored what Islanders can do to support and protect these important pollinators and features the ground-breaking research of Paul Stamets. As a leading mycologist and visionary, Paul is studying and documenting the benefits of mushroom mycelium extracts for supporting health in honeybee populations.
