2007 – FOSSILS

(Curated and mounted by Christian Gronau)

The fossil display on the Museum porch has grown considerably, with thanks to Christian Gronau, geologist and biologist, who has photographed and documented the history of each fossil found around Cortes in an album.  Christian religiously adds to the growing collection and adds more pages of information as more fossils are found around Cortes.

This year’s exhibits began in the lobby with artifacts behind glass and a barred owl standing watch on his perch above.  A “Kids’ Korner” with some art supplies was created in a corner of the lobby.
