Family Day at the Cortes Island Museum

Thanks to all the families and friends who came out to help celebrate Family Day at the Museum on February 18th. Tokens of appreciation were decorated to honour the bird species at risk on Cortes and then were tied to branches of the Celebration Tree.  Brittany Baxter, Laura Balducci and Jane Newman helped make the gallery a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. Rose Hanson was on hand to translate the bird’s names into the Klahoose language. Children ruled the day which made for lots of fun!

This event was supported by the Province of British Columbia, in partnership with the BC Museums Association.
