(Curated by Hans Trettin, geologist, and mounted by Lynne Jordan)

Section titles included:

– Post Glacial Crustal Rebound and Soil Development

– Ice Age Sediments and Events

– Granitic Basement

Hans Trettin also explained the reason for the natural white sand beaches on Hague Lake – and how they had been formed.

Christian Gronau, another local geologist, contributed a painting that showed the Earth’s core, putting the geology of Cortes somewhat into perspective.

Sadly, not long after this exhibit opened, Hans Trettin passed away.
