Honey Bees and Fungi
Join us for an evening presentation as Dr. Steve Sheppard (Thurber Chair, Department of Entomology, Washington State University) and the Cortes Island Museum introduces the problems facing bees globally and the fascinating link between honey bees and fungi. A long-term research collaboration between Fungi Perfecti and the WSU Bee Team led to breakthrough discoveries of fungal-based solutions to address challenges faced by this critical pollinator. Dr. Sheppard will provide a research update from the collaborators and discuss the potential impact on honey bee health.
