Christmas Bird Count – Sunday, December 17

Hello Bird Lovers,

This year’s CBC (Christmas Bird Count) is planned for Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Please mark your calendars and watch for more announcements. This date may change if the weather is not cooperating.

We are planning to start at 9 a.m. with one group meeting at the Museum, one in Squirrel Cove, and another in Whaletown. School children with a bird leader will check the Carrington Bay area. We will have a lunch break at the Museum (bring your own lunch, coffee/tea provided). Then, around 3 p.m., we will tally our observations with George Sirk who will make sure “all is good and rare sightings documented.”  Again, bird feeder watchers will be able to send their observations by email.
