Significance:<\/strong>\u00a0The shaving mug was used by Mr. Manson when, as an MLA, he represented Comox District from 1909 to 1916 and Mackenzie District from1924 until his death in 1932. Michael and his brother John Manson made important contributions to the early settlement of Cortes Island and the east coast of Vancouver Island. Manson Lagoon and Manson\u2019s Landing are named for them.<\/p>\n
