2007 – READING CORNER
Created this year with two easy chairs (the red one belonged to Mike Manson and the green one came from Georgina Tallon) and an old carpet (from Lynne Jordan), visitors can relax here and peruse bookshelves of albums full of archival photographs and stories from early Cortes settlers.
We respectfully acknowledge the toq qaymɩxʷ (Klahoose), ɬəʔamɛn qaymɩxʷ (Tla’amin) and ʔop qaymɩxʷ (Homalco) Nations upon whose territories the programs and activities of the Cortes Island Museum & Archives take place.
