The Museum’s Doreen Thompson Exhibit Gallery is a modestly sized room with current exhibits occupying much of the space. To provide a more complete history of Cortes Island there are a number of wall mounted swing panels highlighting various areas of the island. New panels are constantly being added to increase the history information.
Additional to the panels, the permanent exhibits also include the Von Donop Logging Shed – located in the Heritage Garden, the Pioneer Kitchen, the Nellie Jeffery Collection of Native Artifactsand the Reading Corner with albums of local stories and photos.
Wild Cortes exhibit opened in 2017 in Linnaea Farm Education Centre, 1255 Seaford Road.
Maps and some brochures are always available on the covered porch at the Museum. More detailed trail maps, brochures, local information, suggestions and directions are available during Museum open hours.
