This rare opportunity comes free of charge, thanks to a BC Arts Council grant.
Participants will explore curatorial practices, exhibition design and installation in museums, art galleries and public spaces. Newly acquired knowledge and skills will be applied to hands-on projects. The course will be of interest to individuals wishing to participate in future Museum exhibits or to create their own exhibitions or displays.
The sessions will take place over the fall and winter at the museum and at other relevant venues. At the initial information meeting, instructor Judith Williams outlined the subject matter to be covered and sought input from participants about what they hoped to gain from the training.
